Vaidyanatha
Vaidyanatha - A place about 15 k.m. from Sonepur, situated on Tel river, known for many monuments of tenth-eleventh century AD. The main temple is Vaidyanatha - it architecturally and iconographically belongs to the central Indian style, not the Orissan style. It was built by the Telugu Choda ruling family. (Copper Plate record, Ep. Ind. Vol. XXVIII, P. 284)., One Stone inscription of Bhanudeva I still found in the Stambhesvari temple of Sonepur was originally in the Vaidyanatha temple. Other temple of the place is Kaleswara- both the temples contain marvellous cult images and alasa kanyas.
