Tosali
Tosali- Place mentioned in Asokan inscription –identified with Sisupalagargh in Bhubhanevara. It was the capital of Asokan Kailinga. Bhaumakara copper plate grants mention about North tosali and South tosali. North Tosali comprised Midnapur, Mayurbhanja, Balasore and northern part of Cuttack district. Ganjam, Puri and part of Cuttack were included in South Tosali.
