Satalahadi Matha of Atibadijagannathdas
Jagannathdas was a Brahmin of Kapileswarapur Sasana near Puri. He was learned scholar in Sanskrit and wrote the Oriya Bhagabata following the theme of Srimat Bhagabat Purana, in the 16th century. He was a staunch devotee of Jagannath and had acquired the spritual power. Chaitanya loved him very much as a Guru Vaisnav stayed with him in the last part of his life. The Satalahadi Matha of the Jagannathdas stands near the sea beach in the area of Swargadwar. It is said, when Jagannathdas selected this spot for the construction of his Matha, the waves of the sea used to flood the land. So he asked the sea to go back to the area of seven waves (Sat Lahadi) what the sea did and the Matha since that was called Satalahadi Matha. This exhibits the spritual power of Jagannathdas.
