Saranga
Saranga . A place in Kal11akhyanagar subdivison of Dhenkanal district on the bank of of the river Brahmani. A colossal image of Anantasayi Vishnu in sleeping posture is carved out of sand-rock. Monument of 8th and 9th century- attracts attention of tourists, archaeologists and historians. The,hood of the serpent Ananta spreads above Vishnu’s head and Brahma is seated on a lotus—originating from the navel of Vishnu.
