Toshali Sands

Salipur Area- Place in Cuttack district on the side of Chitrotpala river. A place of antiquities The Mahisa Mardini image of Batesvara village, the Chatesvara Siva temple of Kisanpur and Jagannatha temple of Gopinathpur are some of the archaeological remains of the place. Buddhist remains consisting of images and structures were excavated by the deptt of Archaelogy, Govt of Orissa.

Salva Narasimha- The powerful vice-roy of Chandragiri in the Vijaya Nagara em-Rire. He was defeated by Gajapati Purusottam deva and lost Udayagiri fort to Orissa in 1489.He became the ruler of Vijaya Nagar in 1486 AD.
