Sailendra
Sailendra. A branch of Sailodbhava dynasty. A people who sailed off from Kalinga coast and founded the Srivijaya empire (4th century to 8th century) in Sumatra. They established their political supremacy over the entire Malaya peninsula- famous kings were Rajadhiraja Vishnu, Dharanindra, Samaragravira and Balaputradeva - they were Buddhist.
