Ruchi Prativa Samman Awards
Cuttack, June 23; The Ruchi Prativa Samman- 2002 awards are given to outstanding personalities in different fields. For this year “Banamali Trophy” are given to two toppers of Annual HSC examination Ms. Subhrakali Paramguri and Debasih Panda while second rank holders Jayant Kumar Samal and Satarupa Jena were given the “Maina Devi trophy”. The prestigious “Bharat Gaurav Sammen” was given to the father of cooperative milk revolution and chairman of Amul, Padmabibhusan Dr.l Varghese Kurine. The “Utkal Gaurav Samman” for Indian Hockey team captain Dilip Tirkey. Eminent sculptor Biptra Charan Mohanty was awarded the “Silpiguru B. Verma Samman”, while sculptor Bipra Charan Mohanty was awarded the “Silpigur B. Verma Samman” while the “Ramadevi Seva. Samman” was given to advocate Dr. V. Prithiv Raj. Eminent Odissi Dancer Mera Das was honoured with “Ruchi Kala Samman”, while TV reporter Ashutosh Rout was given the “best Media Personality” award. The Best Ideal School Award was given to Sri Aurobindo Sikshya Niketan at Kundra, Koraput. Member, Board of Revenue Rajendra Kishore Panda, President Board of Secondary Education Niranjan Pandi, Tourism Secretary R. Balakrishnan and district magistrate A.K. Vaishnaw were present on the occasion which was organised by OFM (Manufacturer of RUCHI brand spices) the leading spices manufacturing company of the country at Saheed Bhawan, Cuttack.
