Ranipur
Ranipur-Jharial- Place of ruined temples ‘in Titlagargh subdivision of Bolagir district. It is the Bhubanesvar of western Orissa. Largest stone temple Somesvara is a Somavamsi monument. Sakta shrine of sixty four Yoginis is a rare monument of the country. It is built of bricks 1ndraratha brick temple nearby.
Rao, Madhusudan- Poet - Born on 29th January 1853.Educated in Ravenshaw college, served as a teacher, head master and inspectar of schoQls, founded Bhaktamadhu Vidyapitha and Orissa branch of Br~hmo Samaja. Wrote poems, essays and books. Died on 28th December 1912.Known as Bhakta-Kabi.
