Paika Rebellion- Rebellion of the paikas of Khurda in 1817 against the new land settlement of1805 by English officer Maj.Fletcher .Khurda was the storm centre. Jayi Rajaguru and Buxi Jagabandhu were the leaders of the rebellion.
