Kitto, M. - Military officer of East India Company-widely travelled in Orissa. Collected images and edited inscriptions. Author of (i)Accounts of a Journey (ii)Notes on Khandagiri Inscription and (iii) Exploration of Orissa 1836-1838. Kirtimukha- A decorative temple motif representing a grotesque head of a lion with pearls dropping down from its mouth -occurs in the medallion enclosed within the chaity arch or between a pair of pouncing lions. Kling I ki-ling -kia- An ethnic group living in Java, Borneo and Malaya, supposed to have migrated from Kalinga in the past.
