Jagannath Temple
Jagannath Temple. King Indradyumn of Malava built it, according to tradition. It is said to be built during the Bhaumakara or Somavansi rule (Yayati I). Chodagangadeva is regarded as the builder of the present temple. According to Madalapanji it was built by Anangabhimadeva III. Height of the temple is 215 feet and 8 inches -built between 1128 -1147 AD- hightest among the extant temples of Orissa. The temple contains a number of inscriptions and beautiful scupltural representation.
