Das, Sarangadhara - Political leader. Freedom fighter- born on 19 October, 1887 in Dhenkanal. Father Harekrishna Daseducated in Japan and in the USA, - led the peoples Movement in Garajat States. Joined Congress Party participated in Quit India Movement and jailed. Elected to the Orissa Assembly in 1946 from Tirtol- Ersama area – left Congress and was elected to the Lokasabha from Dhenkanal-Cuttack constituency as a candidate of the Praja Socialist Party. Edited Krusak magazine in a unique literary style- died on 18 Sept 1957.
