Das, Madhusudana . Born on 28 April, 1848 at Satyabhamapur, Cuttack-father Raghunatha Das was a Vakil. Educated at Cuttack and Calcutta- M.A. LL.B.- an eminent lawyer - worked ceaselessly for the creation of a separate Orissa province through Utkal Sammilani - was nominated as a member of the Bengal Legislative Assembly - became Minister in Bihar-Orissa Legislative assembly.An eminent poet, an awakened journalist (editor) and an industri C,list (Utkal Tannery) and the most vocal exponent of Oriya nationalism. A great man and a great political leader. Died on 4 Februrary I 1934.
