Buddha. Gautam Buddha, son of king Sudhodana and queen Mayadevi- founder of Buddhism. Vajrayana Buddhist text Lalita Vistara describes 54 Buddhas and Mahavastu refers to 100 Buddhas. Gautam was born in 557 BC at Lumbini ( .in Nepal) as the 2~th Buddha. - is regarded as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Some say, he was born in Orissa! Rationalist and humanist religious teacher.
