Toshali Sands

Bose Subhas ChandraBorn on 23 Jan.1897 at Cuttack in Orissa, educated in Revenshaw Collegiate School, joined non co-operation movement - was elected president of Indian National Congress in 1938 and in 1939. He repudiated Gandhian method of non-violent freedom struggle, formed Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauja), joined hands with the Axis powers (Germany, Italy and Japan) with the idea of driving the British from India militarily- supposed to be dead in an air crash on 19 August 1945.
