Bahuda Yatra or Return Festival of Puri
The returning ceremony is called “Bahuda Yatra”. On the way the chariot stops at different stops among them one at Mausima temple, deities are offered Baked Cake know as “Podapitha”. After reaching the Lion’s gate of the Temple of the day of Ekadashi, the deities wear gold ornaments (Suna Vesa) and look very beautiful. Then “Adharpana” a king of Sarbat is offered. Next day the deities are taken into the Temple to Ratna Vedi known as Niladri Vije. This is the ending of Rath-Yatra.
